An exciting platform has been launched by Thrillophilia offering different experiences and activities at more than two hundred destinations across India. The primary aim of the company is to narrow the gap between local service providers and travellers in this growing but unorganised sector.
There has been nearly five hundred percent growth in adventure tourism industry of the country over the past decade. The activity segment happens to be the 3rd largest in travel industry just below hotel and aircraft travel. Global average cost of activity purchase stands at around $ 100 however in India it is around $ 28 but volumes have been rising at a faster pace.
The company presently offers more than 1400 new experiences and 400 tours which can range from bamboo rafting experiences to sea kayaking. Thrillophilia has also started its search for local guides with fluency in French, Spanish and German so as to assist foreign travellers with the local tours and make their experiences memorable. Abhishek Daga, the co-founder of the company stated that apart from booking long tours, people are also provided the opportunity to book short experiences such as forest night camping, 1 hour elephant rides, or royal dinner at palaces. More options and new features will be made available to travel enthusiasts mostly by September, 2014.
